This year, Science Rendezvous at Western University is working with 2 professional American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters to ensure the exciting activities and demonstrations are accessible to as many people as possible!
The event will be taking place on May 11th between 2 and 9 pm. There are 2 major components – booths and stage shows. Booths are open from 2 to 7:30 pm, whereas various stage shows take place simultaneously from 2 to 9 pm.
Our goal is to have one interpreter at the stage at all times. In addition, the second interpreter will be doing 2 tours of 9 different booths (all booths required to complete the Science Chase activity). During this tour, the interpreter and accompanying group will be given priority access at the booths and will not need to wait in line!
