What is Science Rendezvous?

Science Rendezvous is a nation-wide initiative, organizing an annual all day festival that brings science out of the labs and into the community. It occurs simultaneously at over 40 sites across 30 Canadian cities! Science Rendezvous’ goal is to increase visibility of, and public interest in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.) fields.

Who can attend?

EVERYONE (regardless of age) is encouraged to attend and learn about the mysteries of science. Bring your curiosity and questions to Science Rendezvous and ask our scientific experts at the event!

Is the event free?

Absolutely! There is no cost to this event. You are welcome to stay for 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 1 hour, or join us for the whole day!

What can I expect to see and do?

Come and visit our 30+ unique displays of S.T.E.A.M. fields! There will be demonstrations, stage shows, interactive demonstrations, build-and-take-home projects, and more! How do I get to Science Rendezvous at Western University?

Science Rendezvous at Western University takes place at Alumni Stadium on Western’s campus. The address is 100 Philip Aziz ave. You can get to Western by bus (bus routes) or car (see below for parking).

Where do I park and is parking free?

YES! On the day of the event, parking is free at the Huron Flatts parking lot near Western University’s Alumni Stadium.

Is there any food during the event?

Yes. Food trucks are available. The options may change every year, but we try to have multiple options that can accommodate various food preferences. Here are the options from the 2023 event:
